GCHQ  is offering you an exciting opportunity to join our  IT Services Department as an  IT Asset Administrator.  

THE ROLE 


As an IT Asset Administrator, you’ll work with and gain exposure to a range of teams across IT Delivery, including, hardware cryptography and media transfer.  
 
Your rotation through these teams, will provide an opportunity for you to develop a range of IT and business skills. Dealing with internal customers, external suppliers, you’ll provide excellent customer service, configure applications, plan and prioritise work, conduct audits and governance.  Your customers will range across the organisation and may include everyone from lawyers to software engineers as well as other government agencies and external suppliers.  

You’ll have career pathway to enable you to progress into more technical or business roles in 2 years.  You’ll receive full training on IT systems and business skills and this offers many opportunities for personal development in an environment that actively encourages you to widen your experiences. There will also be opportunities to visit other locations.

REQUIREMENTS 
 
A minimum of 2 GCSEs (maths and English) grade 5 or above (A-C grades); or O-Level grade A-C; or equivalent. Also, candidates are to score a minimum pass in the competency questions section of the application form.

Previous customer service skills are desirable but not essential, as long as you have the desire to learn and develop. You’ll be a competent user of IT applications and interested to learn more.  A consummate communicator you’ll expertly share knowledge and insight, with a range of customers and be comfortable working in small to medium-sized teams.

SALARY

London £27,586 pro rata (includes £5500 London Pay Addition and concessionary pay)
 
LOCATION
 
London - You will be working from our offices in London, located within 20 minutes' walk of either mainland train stations Victoria or Vauxhall. There are several Tube Stations and bus routes nearby
