We therefore welcome and encourage applications from everyone, including those from groups that are under-represented in our workforce.

We’re Disability Confident

We are proud to have achieved Leader status within the DWP’s Disability Confident scheme.  This is aimed at encouraging employers to think differently about disability and take action to improve how they recruit, retain and develop disabled people.  Being Disability Confident, we aim to ensure that a fair and proportionate number of disabled applicants that meet the minimum criteria for this position will be offered an interview where practicable; this is known as ‘Offer of an Interview’. To secure an interview for this vacancy, the minimum criteria is successfully meeting the minimum pass mark at application sift.

What to Expect

Our recruitment process is fair, transparent, and based on merit. Here is a brief overview of each stage, in order:

Initial application form and eligibility questions

You’ll be asked to answer a few preliminary questions based on the requirements for the role. If you meet these requirements, you’ll be invited to submit a full application form.

Full application form and CV submission

At the full application form stage, you'll be asked to answer some more detailed questions about your motivation for applying and your suitability for the role. You’ll also be asked to upload your CV so you can further highlight any relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. Our recruitment team will then conduct an application sift.

Online interview

If you’re successful at application sift, you’ll be invited to attend an online interview for your chosen role. This is the final stage in the recruitment process and successful candidates will be made a conditional offer of employment.

Vetting

While you must have current DV clearance to apply for these roles, you should expect to undergo some additional checks. Once all vetting enquiries have been completed and your clearance is confirmed, we will then be in a position to make a formal offer of employment and start the onboarding process.
Please note, you must successfully pass each stage of the process in order to progress to the next.

Our Vetting

To work for the UK’s  Intelligence Agencies you will need the highest security clearance, known as Developed Vetting (DV). Although these roles are only open to individuals with current DV status, everyone in the process will have to go through some additional checks, so we advise you continue any current employment until you have received your final job offer.

The process might be different depending on your specific DV status and we will maintain communication with you throughout, however you will be asked to fill in a detailed questionnaire and possibly speak to a vetting officer. In your interview the vetting officer will have a thorough, compassionate and honest discussion with you about you as a person and your life experiences, to ensure holding a DV clearance is right for you. You don’t need to do any preparation before speaking to the vetting officer, just be honest and be yourself. All applicants are treated impartially and consistently, irrespective of gender, race, disability, religion, age, sexual orientation and other protected characteristics.

Please be aware that we withhold the right to bring forward the closing date for this role from the original closing date once a certain number of applications have been received. Please be mindful of this and submit your application at your earliest convenience to avoid disappointment.
