The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is the UK’s authority for cyber security advice and incident management. It is a fundamental part of how we aim to make the UK the safest place to live and work online. Part of GCHQ, the NCSC manages national cyber incidents, provides an authoritative voice and centre of expertise on cyber security, and delivers tailored support and advice to departments, regulators and industry. We are offering you an exciting opportunity to join our Communications Team as our new Events Manager.

THE ROLE

This is a new role and provides the successful candidate the opportunity to lead on the development and management of our London events strategy. You will be responsible for its coherent implementation and delivery through the core team, wider business partners and via a network of external suppliers. These events are crucial to the success of the NCSC as it enters its third year, contributing to the overall success of the NCSC strategic objectives.  This high tempo of engagement, growing all the time, is crucial to enhancing the NCSC’s reputation on a world stage.
 
You will also build strong links outside of NCSC to bring best practise back from both private and public sectors.

REQUIREMENTS

We need a motivated, innovative and enthusiastic Events Manager to join the communications team, based in London. Working to the Head of Events the successful candidate will manage the delivery of high profile London-based events, both outward facing and internal. You will be required to liaise with senior stakeholders across the NCSC to coordinate requirements, plan and deliver these in a creative, timely and efficient way. This role includes the management of a dedicated 200-person events space within our HQ in London and associated business resources required to deliver a varied programme of events involving different formats and audiences.

We are looking for someone with proven events management experience. Knowledge of project and budgetary management is highly desirable.

SALARY

Salary of £40,822 (on a pro rata basis if you work part time)
