GCHQ, the longest standing code-breaking intelligence agency in the UK, is offering you an exciting opportunity to join our General Services Team.

THE ROLE

The General Services Team are responsible for keeping the site clean and hygienic on a day to day basis, moving furniture for events and storage, as well as maintaining the vehicle fleet, ensuring the vehicles are clean and in a tidy condition. Other duties will involve collection and destruction of classified waste, stock management of General Services Store, courier duties, occasional driving duties and use of the site Forklift (training will be given).

The successful candidate must hold a valid UK Driving Licence.

REQUIREMENTS

Role requirements are:

  • 2 GCSEs grade C or higher (or equivalent) are desirable however in the absence of these relevant experiences will also be considered
  • Able to work independently and in a team using your own initiative to complete tasks
  • Have good customer service skills and effective communication, both verbally and written
  • Able to manage time and priorities in a busy and demanding role, sometimes at short notice

SALARY

Salary of £18,920 p.a.
