THE ROLES

Trainee Radio Frequency Analyst

We are the nation’s signals intelligence agency; our mission is global.  As a trainee Radio Frequency Analyst, on GCHQ’s Entry Level Development Programme, you’ll undergo a comprehensive 18-months training package and learn to how to analyse data across multiple accesses.  At the forefront of collecting signals intelligence, you’ll provide analysts with data to help fight terrorism, cybercrime and serious crime.
 
During an 18-month programme, you’ll get a mix of classroom-based learning and on the job training, supported by our collaborative learning environment. With motivation and a desire to safe guard the nation, you’ll soon be working on projects that help keep the UK and her allies safe.  You’ll receive full training and support throughout the programme and all the benefits that you’d expect from a Civil Service organisation.   

Upon successful completion of an 18-month development programme, you’ll be placed in a team at one of our sites. If you’re asked to relocate after 18 months, you’ll be given assistance in the form of reimbursement of relocation costs, up to £1,000.

IT Delivery and Support Technician

As an IT Delivery and Support Technician, you’ll provide a professional and technical support service and work closely with internal customers to deliver an internal and external service on GCHQ’s corporate and mission IT Systems. With advanced training and endless encouragement, you’ll soon become a go-to expert, covering a wide range of activities, from simple installations to configuration of hardware and software components along with networking, service management, system administration and user enquiries.  We care hugely about learning and development and will tailor a continuous development programme for you. This will be a mix of formal and on the job training, and provide opportunities to participate in several areas of work, including other sites. Supported by our collaborative learning environment, you’ll soon develop a broad range of technical skills and have everything you need to kick-start your technical career.  You’ll receive full training and support throughout the programme and all the benefits that you’d expect from a Civil Service organisation.

REQUIREMENTS

Salary of £20,981 pro rata basis (includes concessionary payment)
