It is a fundamental part of how we aim to make the UK the safest place to live and work online. Part of GCHQ, the NCSC manages national cyber incidents, provides an authoritative voice and centre of expertise on cyber security, and delivers tailored support and advice to departments, regulators and industry.  We now have an exciting opportunity to join our Digital Government team as an Active Cyber Defence Services Team member.

THE ROLE

You’ll work closely with the service owners to deliver an effective service, which will include a variety of activities to promote the service and ensure the availability of the services good service management, continual service improvement and eventual service decommissioning.

You’ll maintain a knowledge base of the customers using the various ACD tools, working with the Digital Government relationship managers to target and encourage the sign-up of new users.

You will collate the monthly ACD dashboard, used for the communications to senior management of NCSC and externally to Cabinet Office.  In additional to this you’ll provide ad hoc reporting to a variety of stakeholders.

The services on which you’ll be working are only a part of the total ACD offerings, so you’ll work with colleagues across NCSC to manage dependencies and look for opportunities to maximise impact for the benefit of our customers.

We are looking for someone with a solid record of delivery in a mixed discipline team environment.  The DevOps team uses the Agile methodology and experience of that or similar developmental techniques would be useful.  Appreciation of project management terminology and project lifecycles would be advantageous.
