We are offering you an exciting opportunity to join our Internal Audit Team as an Auditor.

THE ROLE

Working to and supporting the Deputy Head of Internal Audit and Senior Auditors, the Auditor will deliver internal audit assurance and advice to three-customer organisations at pace across a range of topics, covering operational business, technology, corporate services, finance and shared service. We are looking for someone who can understand and evaluate business arrangements quickly and can converse effectively with staff at all levels within the organisation.

This is a challenging and rewarding role where your contribution will make a real difference providing customers with high quality assurance, advisory and investigatory services that help strengthen and enhance risk management, governance and internal control arrangements. It will involve working on a range of assignments, within a small team on some reviews as well as delivering singleton reviews, to quality, budget and agreed timescales. REQUIREMENTS

• Prior audit and risk management knowledge and experience in public and/ or private sector.
• Experience of audit testing methodologies, data analysis, root cause analysis and strong report writing skills desirable.
• For Technology Auditor roles: Prior knowledge and experience of Technology auditing in public and/ or private sector would be an advantage; expertise of technology platforms and product sets; experience in a first line role within an IT function, whether operational support for applications or infrastructure, or performing IT development work, is desirable;
• Strong experience of working with customers; ability to negotiate and communicate with customers at all levels in the organisation, to deliver difficult messages and influence change.
• Demonstrable ability to work on multiple audit assignments at once and manage competing priorities; leading audits and delivering work at pace to time and quality commitments
• Ability to navigate ambiguity with purpose and dedication to IA’s missions; proactively identifies ideas or approaches to continuously improve internal audit capabilities and ways of working.

SALARY

Salary of £33,580 (on a pro rata basis)

LOCATION

Cheltenham (located within an hour’s journey of Birmingham and Bristol)

Travel within the UK is essential, with a possibility of occasional overseas travel.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

The first thing we will ask you to do is complete our pre-screening questions to find out if you meet our initial criteria. If you do meet these criteria we will then ask you to begin an application.

GUARANTEED INTERVIEW SCHEME
