GCHQ, the longest standing code-breaking intelligence agency in the UK, is offering you an exciting opportunity to join our organisation as an Internet Vulnerability Assessor.

THE ROLE

We’re looking to recruit a variety of individuals to work in the front line of online capability. You’ll be in a technically focussed team working to deliver specific Internet outcomes.  This is a high tempo open and supportive environment where individuals are encouraged to work creatively online, often working in collaboration with internal and external customers. The role presents opportunities for you to continuously develop yourself across a broad spectrum of internet technologies supporting individuals for professional recognition. REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for innovative and committed individuals from a diverse set of backgrounds who have a genuine interest in Cyber Security and are able to demonstrate experience in the application of specific technologies. Your mind-set is delivery focussed to produce the best outcomes.

You’ll be able to demonstrate knowledge on current technology trends and be passionate about learning new technologies, frameworks and products. We are interested in individuals who have the following skills:

  • Understanding and application of vulnerability assessment process.  Utilising tools and techniques to performs system security assessment.
  • Knowledge of how to exploit flaws in web / PC / mobile app based technologies.
  • Competent usage of virtualisation products and an understanding of networks and their mechanics.
  • Programming / scripting language with usage of Windows and Linux.

With an ability to work through complex problems with minimal guidance is key.

You will have completed a 2:1 degree in a relevant subject or have gained appropriate experience in industry.

£28,804 to £38,849 depending on experience
