THE ROLE

To support our mission, opportunities are now available in our site service team located in Bude. The successful candidates will be part of a small friendly team who play a crucial role in the running of our site. The team get to engage with a wide variety of people whilst carrying out their duties and they are known for their helpful and pleasant disposition. Due to their teamworking ethics you will not be left on your own and will always have support when needed.

Key responsibilities of the role are;

• Keeping the site clean and hygienic on a day to day basis, whilst complying with all health and safety regulations;
• Reporting damage, repairs and breakdowns encountered when carrying out daily tasks;
• Ensuring adequate cleaning supplies are maintained in the designated areas;
• Stock management of Site Services Store;
• Moving furniture for events and storage;
• Maintaining the vehicle fleet, ensuring the vehicles are clean and in a tidy condition;
• Occasional driving duties relating to the vehicle fleet.  A full UK drivers’ licence is essential;
• Collection and destruction of classified waste;
• Internal post and courier duties.

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will have:

• A full UK Driving License;
• Relevant work experience is desirable (but not essential)
• GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent);
• General knowledge of cleaning products & supplies;
• Able to work independently and in a team using your own initiative to complete tasks;
• Good customer service skills and effective communication, both verbally and written;
• Good time management and able to prioritise daily responsibilities effectively;  
• A Good level of fitness is desirable, as the role at times can be physically challenging.

Once we’ve established that you meet our eligibility criteria, the next steps of this selection process are:

Successful candidates will also need to undergo a drugs test as part of the DV process

Interviews will likely be held in mid to late January 2021. Further details of interview will be provided to those who successfully reach this stage.
