GCHQ is offering a unique and exciting opportunity for talented students to attend a six-week Cyber Analyst Summer School at one of two locations across the UK

•    Manchester
•    Midlands/West

This is an exciting opportunity for students from a wide range of academic backgrounds. If you enjoy solving difficult problems and have a real drive for learning and a curiosity about how technology affects all of our lives, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for!

As part of a group of talented, like-minded students, you’ll get to really understand how the internet works, how to stay secure on the internet, and how GCHQ uses it to protect and serve our nation - the public, government and our armed services.

We will offer you a tailored intensive programme of interactive and fun development, designed to build your cyber analyst skills under the guidance of cutting edge trainers from industry, plus experienced GCHQ staff.

The six-week summer school will use a range of briefings, interactive sessions and group challenges, including experiential ‘real life’ exercises to help you apply your new-found knowledge in a very practical way. This is really a great way to learn, develop new skills, meet new people and build future opportunities.

If you are expecting to graduate with a minimum 2:2 Honours degree in 2018 and are from a non-technical area, or you do not have much computing or Communications Technology knowledge already, then this could be the challenge you’ve been looking for!

Not only do you gain exciting new experiences, but we’ll give you free accommodation for the 6-week course and you’ll also receive up to £250 per week, attendance permitting! There are limited places on this programme, so get ahead of the game and register interest now, and we will email you when the recruitment campaign in launched in January 2017.
