An excellent organiser is wanted to manage the working lives of NCSC Digital’s senior leaders.

The NCSC Digital Government team is responsible for the whole of the UK public sector. As this covers not only central government but the NHS and local government too, not to mention the emergency services, devolved administrations and the Crown Dependencies and British Overseas Territories, you will see that there is an awful lot to cover. Your job will be to help the DD, Senior Relationship Manager and CTO manage their diaries. This isn’t just about fixing up and accepting appointments. You’ll be expected to make decisions on which of the three attends particular meetings so that Digital Government is appropriately represented, but still leave the individuals with time to do other work. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring that they have the right paperwork and organise any necessary pre-briefings so that they are properly informed ahead of the meetings.

In addition to this, you will also be taking the lead in organising Digital’s Drop-In Lofts. These are day-long events which are being held in venues around the UK to reach out to public sector customers. You’ll be responsible for identifying and booking venues, managing attendance lists and liaising with local suppliers. You’ll also work with others in the Digital team to organise agendas and speakers for the event. You should also expect to be involved in the preparation for any other events which Digital is involved in, such as the NCSC’s flagship CyberUK in Practice. Planning is already starting for the next of these in Spring 2018.

Key Responsibilities

You will be a top-flight organiser, used to juggling diaries on behalf of others. You’ll be able to assimilate information quickly and will need to develop an empathetic bond with the Digital leadership team, developing wider relationships across the whole of the Digital team and the NCSC to enable you to operate effectively. You will also be able to represent the NCSC externally with customers and potential hosts for the Drop-In-Lofts.
