GCHQ is offering you an exciting opportunity to join our Computer Network Operations team as a Computer Network Operations Lead.

THE ROLE

Our Computer Networks Operations team hack the computers of terrorists and criminals to discover and disrupt their plans. Under strict legal safeguards and oversight, we have the scope to do things that wouldn’t be possible elsewhere, and provide the opportunity to really develop your skills.
Using reverse engineering, penetration testing and intrusion detection skills, you’ll support national security objectives. With world-class training and support, you’ll have all the tools required to carry out our critical mission.

REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for individuals from all backgrounds with experience or knowledge in reverse engineering, penetration testing, vulnerability analysis, intrusion detection or analysis of malicious code. With skills in network operations, you enjoy problem-solving, keeping up with changing technologies and want to make a real difference to the UK

You have either a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant STEM subject; or a Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree incorporating ethical hacking, digital forensics or information security.

Or

A thorough understanding of networks and protocols, including experience of security and protecting software and networks.
