Based in London with opportunities to work overseas

MI6 is the UK's foreign intelligence service. We work to promote and protect the UK's national interest both at home and overseas by ensuring our government has the information it needs.

The roles are diverse. You could be working in a team supporting intelligence gathering or in a team that ensures the smooth running of the Service. You can expect to spend two or three years in each post and as your experience grows you may have the option of applying to work overseas.

Business Support Officers come from diverse backgrounds. Some come straight from full time education, others have extensive work experience but are interested in moving to a unique working environment. Whilst administrative experience is desirable, what we are looking for is willingness and capability to do this kind of work.  You will need a high level of professionalism as well as sound judgement and strong organisational skills. We want people who are adaptable with a broad range of skills and able to perform in any of our wide ranging jobs.

MI6 offers an excellent working environment with great benefits including 25 days holiday and a generous pension scheme. Depending on your circumstances we can offer flexible working arrangements.

The Application Process

You will have at least 5 GCSEs Grades A to E including Maths and English Language Grades A to C or equivalent (original certificates will need to be provided at assessment centre stage).

If you are eligible to apply, you will complete an online application form and online test. The application process is rigorous and can take between 6-9 months as we need to carry out background and security checks.
