We are offering a stretching and rewarding career opportunity for experienced psychologists who are confident in applying their clinical skills and consultancy experience in both familiar and unique settings. Practitioner psychologists in our team support Well being, Occupational Health, Personnel security, HR and Recruitment. The breadth of the role, and the high value with which psychological consultancy is regarded, is what will make this such an attractive prospect. At the heart of the job is the requirement to provide expert advice on the risk and risk management of individuals. You will use a range of psychometric measures to inform your clinical and risk assessments. You will be involved in the development and facilitation of bespoke training courses. The team use their clinical expertise to engage with, assess and train a diverse range of people who are typically working in challenging roles.

This role requires autonomous clinical risk assessment and decision making, and confidence in consulting to senior colleagues on a wide range of subjects. It is fast-paced, with quick turn-around times for detailed reports, designing and facilitating training interventions and assisting with high risk casework. People suited to the role will need to enjoy networking, be very open to learning and to taking on new challenges and working with multidisciplinary colleagues. They also need to demonstrate their own high levels of personal resilience. They should be digitally savvy and open to innovation.

You will join a well-established, energised and highly stimulated team of senior clinicians with expertise across neuropsychology, forensic psychology, occupational psychology, trauma and addictions. High level peer supervision is embedded within the team and there are a range of CPD options, including some unique opportunities.

Please do not deselect yourself if you feel you do not have direct experience of working in Intelligence or Security. If you are a competent clinical/counselling psychologist in your area with strong formulation, risk assessment and interpersonal skills, we are keen to receive your application.

We are an all-inclusive employer, committed to diversity in our workforce. We would be particularly interested in receiving applications from clinicians from a BAME background.
