About the Role

MI6 has a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced HVAC technician to join our growing team.  This important technical role will see you become part of a small specialist maintenance team managing the upkeep of the Global Estate, ensuring the effective, efficient, and safe operation of HVAC systems.  As part of this team, you will be required to:

•    Install, maintain & commission Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) services. This is expected to be completed to a high standard within occupied office areas & domestic premises, ensuring disruption to staff is kept to a minimum.
•    Diagnose, repair, and maintain existing HVAC systems.
•    Assist/work with other trades in a variety of maintenance tasks, ranging from HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Building.
•    Travel overseas, often at short notice (including weekends).
•    Mentor junior team members.
•    Install, diagnose, repair & maintain HVAC systems in commercial and domestic premises, including fault finding, rewiring and monitoring, ensuring manufacturer and BS standards are met.
•    Diagnose faults remotely, across such systems as DX, VRV & VRF, providing exceptional customer service and technical advice.
•    Assess and scope works, identifying equipment required for the task, ordering, collating and dispatching equipment globally in a secure and timely manner.
•    Provide a reactive & planned maintenance service globally.
•    Continued professional development, ensuring compliance with evolving industry standards, keeping abreast of changes within the industry.
•    Ensure sub-contractors perform to the required standards.
•    Provide advice and guidance to project managers on larger scale works.
•    Submit reports, costings & labour forecasts for potential works.

As mentioned above this role does involve overseas travel and weekend work for which you will receive the relevant renumeration etc.


About You

Essential

•    NVQ2 or higher in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
•    City & Guilds F Gas Qualification
•    Good all-round knowledge/experience of generators, electrical systems, UPS, HVAC (particularly Mitsubishi & Daikin)
•    Experience of working overseas, often in harsh environments.

Desirable

•    18th Edition wiring regulations
•    Plumbing installation/maintenance
•    Team player that can also work alone, problem solving & fault finder, comfortable writing reports. Qualified and experience in all areas detailed above.
