Join SIS and use your experience of supporting IT systems to address challenges that are fundamental to intelligence gathering and ultimately help safeguard our nation. This role will have extensive opportunities for you to work with our UK intelligence partners.  

Role

As a Service Desk Analyst you will provide IT support and advice on a wide range of IT services to SIS officers around the globe. Successful applicants will begin by joining either the Service Desk or the 24/7 Event Management team to gain 1st line experience and learn about the Service. Once trained there will be opportunities to move into a range of other IT Service Management roles such as Incident, Request and Change Management.

This is a highly rewarding role which will allow you to learn about the service, and develop your skills for further IT Service Management roles within the SIS and our UK intelligence partners.  


Skills and qualifications

Experience of working in a customer services role is preferable, with an ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, both verbally and in writing. You must be able to demonstrate a level of empathy with officers who may be working in high pressure environments. All candidates should be able to demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving. The department has a strong focus on continual service improvement and we are looking for candidates who take a proactive approach to identifying and implementing changes.

IT Service Management qualifications are desirable (but not essential) for this role. Experience working within the ITIL framework would be preferable.
