Change Business Partners Ref. 1998
Technology Roles
London
£60,882 - £65,448
Shaping the future of MI6
MI6 is the UK’s foreign intelligence agency. As the threat evolves, so must we. The curiosity, insight and intuition of our people is critical. Creating efficiencies, new approaches and technology, they’re helping us keep ahead of our adversaries. Now, to help us continue to adapt and grow, we’re looking for the country’s best Change Business Partners.
About the role
Change has become the new normal, and that makes it an exciting time to join us. As a Change Business Partner, you’ll be embedded into an area of MI6 experiencing complex and rapid change where you’ll work with leaders to develop the change strategy.
You’ll be responsible for developing change capability and supporting leaders to anticipate and plan for change. By applying your professional knowledge and expertise, you’ll ensure that changes meet the true business need. You’ll ensure that leadership and management of change is continuously improved, whilst – importantly – working with closely other business partners to achieve shared objectives.
About you
As a qualified professional in change, you’re an expert in stakeholder management with experience of coaching and guiding senior managers. You enjoy operating in a complex and ambiguous environment and adept at making sense of competing demands (then turning those demands into a coherent plan). A confident, influential and compelling communicator, you’ll have represented change at senior levels.
Having operated in a variety of delivery environments, you’re confident to design and plan change and, as an experienced manager, you have a track record of leading and inspiring blended teams to deliver to your plan.
What we’ll offer you
Working in MI6 will give you challenge, inspiration and a real sense of purpose to your work. You’ll be enabled and supported to make a real difference in a truly unique environment.
We take learning very seriously here, so you’ll benefit from a broad range of development opportunities from innovation to language classes. From the moment you join, you’ll be supported to understand what we do and how we do it, including how we operate overseas. We support flexible working and actively encourage a healthy work/life balance. We value professional skills, and offer candidates an additional allowance which reflects the importance we place on change management skills and qualifications.
How to apply
To apply to MI6, you must be a born or naturalised British citizen, over 21 years old and normally have been based in the UK for six of the last ten years. You should not discuss your application with anyone other than your partner or close family member, providing they are British. They should also be made aware of the importance of discretion.
MI6 strives for diversity in the workplace and is committed to the creation and maintenance of a climate in which all staff are treated fairly on the grounds of merit and ability.
