Shape a deeper level of intelligence

MI6 is the UK's foreign human intelligence agency. As the threat evolves, so must we. The curiosity, insight and intuition of our people is critical. Creating efficiencies, new approaches and technology, they’re helping us keep ahead of our adversaries. Now, to help us continue to adapt and grow, we're looking for the country's best Change Managers.

About the role

Change has become the new normal and that makes it an exciting time to join us. As a Change Manager, you’ll act as the conscience within the project or programme, putting people (rather than just process or technology) at the heart of change. This is about understanding and meeting the real needs of our customers.

Not only will you validate the case for change, but you’ll also ensure this is communicated in a compelling way, to the right audiences through the right channels. Making people aware of the benefits of change is critical, so you’ll develop and implement a robust benefits realisation plan. Throughout, you’ll ensure our stakeholders are engaged, ready to play their part in the process of change, and prepared to adopt new ways of working.

About you

You’re qualified to practitioner level in change management, with a proven track record of delivering success. You bring experience of working to an Agile methodology and in end-to-end change management, ideally within differing environments. Conversant with a range of change management tools and frameworks, you’re confident about choosing the combinations that deliver the best results.

You bring a structured approach and you’re quality focused. It’s also important you’re approachable and quick to establish rapport with different business and stakeholder groups. And, you’re experienced in mentoring more junior colleagues.

What we’ll offer you

Working in MI6 will give you challenge, inspiration and a real sense of purpose to your work. You’ll be enabled and supported to make a real difference in a truly unique environment.

We take learning seriously at MI6, so you’ll benefit from a broad range of development and training opportunities. From the moment you join, you’ll be supported to understand what we do and how we do it, including how we operate overseas. We support flexible working arrangements and actively encourage a healthy life/work balance. We value professional skills, and offer candidates an additional allowance which reflects the importance we place on change management and business analysis.

Apply

To apply to MI6, you must be a born or naturalised British citizen, over 21 years old and normally have been based in the UK for six of the last ten years. You should not discuss your application with anyone other than your partner or a close family member providing that they are British. They should also be made aware of the importance of discretion.

MI6 strives for diversity in the workplace and is committed to the creation and maintenance of a climate in which all staff are treated fairly on the grounds of merit and ability.
