You will implement systems of governance to ensure information is managed according to its value and risk.
You will work in support of an improvement agenda aimed at extracting more value from information, simplifying its management and minimising compliance risks.

As a member of a MI6 team of Information and Records Managers, you would be working closely with a number of teams for whom you will have assigned responsibility. You will be able to develop a strong understanding of the aims and objectives of the team and the wider department and by providing information records management expertise, you will enable the team to derive maximum benefit from its information. This will enhance the team’s delivery of its strategic goals.

You will need to have knowledge and experience of electronic records management systems (EDRMS), enabling you to contribute to strategic planning on information management and structuring, and to teams’ use of information at their disposal. You will also need to work in an agile manner, managing a range of systems and ensuring that developments in information management tools and practices are implemented.

You should have proven strong written and verbal communication skills which will enable you to share your expertise effectively with the teams to whom you are attached, identify effective ways to communicate policy and best practice and respond to queries.

By analysing behaviours and ensuring compliance you will identify opportunities to enhance training and, with others, help design and deliver training packages to meet general and bespoke training needs.
