Role

As a Learning Business Partner at SIS, you will help deliver the vision that SIS will become a learning Organisation.

You will help influence cultural and behavioural change to ensure learning remains central to the whole organisation. This will ensure that SIS constantly adapts to change in its external operating environment and continues to deliver world-class intelligence.

You should be able to make significant strategic impact on both the Service and its staff. We are looking for candidates who are deeply passionate about learning, bring senior-level engagement experience and can demonstrate impact across all areas of the learning lifecycle.

Other key aspects of the role are;

•    To provide the essential link between organisational strategy and the learning agenda. By implementing HR aligned-processes and organisational design that will ensure that the right learning culture and environment exists.
•    To work with key stakeholders, be a role model and affect a cultural approach of individual responsibility and proactivity towards learning. To cultivate supportive learning communities and improve line manager knowledge.
•    To ensure SIS is an “intelligent customer” for learning. To engage closely with other partner organisations to ensure alignment and that common learning initiatives are identified and exploited.
•    To connect SIS to the latest learning research, trends and information. To introduce different approaches to engage and challenge learners.

Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, mandatory qualifications are:

•    Evidence of working at a strategic L&D practice level for at least 2-3 years in a large organisation.
•    Excellent understanding of L&D professional practices.
•    Evidence of strategic learning impact (e.g. behavioural change, leadership development or organisation-wide L&D).
•    Ability to facilitate and coach at individual and team level.

Desirable qualifications include:

•    Minimum of CIPD Level 5
•    Experience of working at team level with Senior Leadership.  
•    Strong evidence of shaping, influencing and leading strategic planning
•    Studying for Level 7 Chartered MCIPD in HR or L&D.
