There are a wide variety of Business change roles within MI6 – or as we’re more formally called, the Secret Intelligence Service (SIS) - offering opportunities to develop your skills in a truly unique context.  Working on vital projects, your analysis skills would contribute by promoting and protecting the UK’s national interest both at home and overseas.   

About the Role

As a Business Analyst in MI6, you will work with a wide range of stakeholders and other project and programme professionals, utilising your unique skill set to elicit requirements, identify problems, and assist in the delivery of improvements to our operational and business processes.

About you

You will have a proven track record as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years of experience of working on complex, large-scale change/improvement initiatives.

You will have extensive knowledge and experience of requirements elicitation, definition and management, and you’ll come complete with a toolbox of techniques to support you in your efforts, including Use Case Modelling and Workflow Analysis. You’ll already have (or be working towards) a recognised Business Analysis qualification (either the ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis or Certified Business Analysis Profession (CBAP) qualifications).

You’ll also be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of at least 3 of the following:-

  • Business Process Modelling
  • Business Process Testing
  • Business Process improvement
  • Change implementation Planning and Management
  • Organisational Design and Implementation
  • Benefits Management
  • Group Facilitation
  • Stakeholder relationship management

Your communication skills (both written and oral) will be second to none, and will be combined with a deeply analytical mindset. You’ll be able to lead and manage a team as well as be able to work effectively on your own. You’ll be curious and inquisitive and able demonstrate full understanding and experience of the change lifecycle.
