Photographer and Film Production Specialist Ref. 1395

MI6 – or as we’re often known, The Secret Intelligence Service (SIS) are looking for photographers and film production specialists. Use your experience and skills to work in a small, busy team of professional stills photographers and film production technicians producing training, recruitment and specific filmed productions founded on Photography and Film/TV industry based digital imagery techniques. This will include computer generated images, graphics and animation.

About the Role

As a Photographer in MI6 you will provide original stills imagery for tasks covering location and studio; captured on industry standard professional cameras. You will also provide post-production support for scanning of imagery, image manipulation and processing of printed images.

As a Film Production Specialist in MI6 you will provide original digital film content covering tasks on location and studio, captured on industry standard professional cameras. You will also provide advice for various film productions including storyboards, scripts, shooting schedules, direction and post production techniques. Also, you will provide post-production techniques for editing of filmed content, recorded audio, copying and converting of film, TV content or original video to other digital formats.

About you

You will have good customer focussed and team skills as well as proven experience and knowledge of photography, processes and techniques. You will have experience of producing high quality video/film tasks, professional standard and practical knowledge of using Digital Film Cameras and HD Cameras including DV, HD and SD formats. You should also be able to provide evidence of a methodical ability in assembling/checking kit for location shoots in the UK or overseas, and some knowledge of print processes.

Skills/Experience required

Knowledge and experience of working on Apple Macs workstations or similar for post-production editing, formatting, rendering of imagery, image manipulation and an awareness of print techniques.

Excellent knowledge of some of the industry standard operating software covering Cameras Audio, Encoding and Post Production packages. You will need – as a minimum- a working knowledge for some (if not all) of the following:

-          Adobe suites including: Audition, Director, Final Cut-Pro, Premier Pro, Encore, Encoder, AVID, After Effects, Photoshop and Sound Booth.

-          Experience of Microsoft Office Word.
