Role

As a Service Delivery Manager at SIS, you will manage existing IT services through their life and also be responsible for accepting new capabilities into service.

You will ensure that the service continues to meet business needs through frequent review of service reporting, engagement with the Service Desk and Business Relationship Managers; in addition to significant involvement with stakeholders from both technical and commercial teams.

You will maintain and escalate any risks associated with your portfolio of services and make effective cases for investment, creating service improvement plans where applicable to mitigate the risks you have identified.

The Service Delivery Manager is a key IT representative for their services and is the central point of escalation for any issue impacting smooth operation.

Other key aspects of the role are:

• Financial control of a budget used to support the running of your services. You will ensure appropriate spend has been profiled for the financial year and manage the renewal of contractual agreements, many of which will be time critical (eg. software licencing).
• Represent IT Services on project boards and transition checkpoints (often in a Senior User capacity) to ensure new services are delivered into live having considered the elements required to facilitate onward support once operational - while also ensuring they meet or exceed the intended user requirement.
• Initiate and run frequent Service Reviews with stakeholders and technical teams which support your underpinning Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) to ensure agreed service levels and business requirements are being met.
• Manage contracts with suppliers ensuring best value is achieved from both existing and new agreements signed.
• Manage and seek sponsorship for any enhancement required to your service which will allow it to continually meet business requirements.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with both commercial and non-commercial third parties and suppliers.


Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, mandatory qualifications are:
• 3 A Levels or equivalent
• A BSc (Hons), HND, or a HNC level qualification and/or relevant experience in a similar role.
• ITIL (v3) Foundation Accreditation

Desirable qualifications include:
• A selection of ITIL Intermediate certifications achieved.

Desirable skills include:
• Experience in line managing a team or individual.
