The learning and development team support our staff to develop their skills and knowledge to enable them to have a rewarding career across the agencies. The Academy is our in-house learning and development provider, serving L&D needs across the areas of core skills, leadership and management, equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), and the new entrant induction process. The Learning Support Hub provide administrative training support for the L&D community, enabling a high-quality and professional service. The Digital Learning team works across the L&D community to enhance learner education using technology. Together we deliver the L&D that our agencies need to stay ahead of the threat and build a workforce for the future.  


Role: Academy Team Leader (broadly equivalent to Civil Service SEO)
Location: London, Cheltenham and Manchester
Salary: London: £49,346
             Cheltenham and Manchester: £47,610

Summary: The Academy Team Leader role is responsible for leading a team of Academy Team Members, and managing the design, development, and delivery of a suite of L&D offerings across their area of responsibility. The Team Leader also leads on stakeholder management across the agencies and will become a subject matter expert on an aspect of L&D, for example EDI or leadership and management skills. This role will offer line management of a small team of Academy staff and will sometimes involve the delivery of L&D. The successful post holder will have a passion for L&D and building a learning organisation, as well as experience leading and managing a team.


Role: Academy Team Member (broadly equivalent to Civil Service HEO)

Salary: London: £39,454

Summary: The Academy Team Member role is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of a portfolio of L&D products, the creation of new products, and leading stakeholder management across the agencies. As a Team Member your will also deliver inductions, training courses and workshops as required, and becoming a subject matter expert on an aspect of L&D, for example EDI or leadership and management skills. The successful post holder will have a passion for L&D and building a learning organisation.


Role: Learning Support Hub Team Leader (broadly equivalent to HEO)

Summary: The Learning Support Hub facilitates L&D activities and provides vital admin support for training courses across the organisation. As a Team Leader your responsibilities will include leading and managing the Learning Support Hub (including line management responsibilities); project management support; and facilitating ad hoc training requirements (e.g., corporate events). The successful post holder will have a keen interest in staff development and a willingness to take on varied L&D project work. High levels of organisation and collaboration are key to success in this role.

Role: Learning Support Hub Officer (broadly equivalent to AO)
Location: London and Cheltenham
Salary: London: £29,073
             Cheltenham: £26,797

Summary: The Learning Support Hub facilitates L&D activities and provides vital admin support for training courses across the organisation. As a Learning Support Hub Officer, you will be responsible for providing L&D course admin and central admin support to the L&D team; liaising with internal and external stakeholders; and record management. The successful post holder will have excellent customer service and organisation skills, be able to work effectively with others, and should have an interest in L&D.


Role: Digital Learning Visual Designer/Developer (broadly equivalent to EO or HEO)
Location: London and Cheltenham
Salary: London: £33,350 - £39,454 depending on skills and experience
             Cheltenham: £31,051 - £37,488 depending on skills and experience

Summary: Visual Designers are a critical part of the Digital Learning team, taking the lead in creating visual elements such as graphics, illustrations, visualisation and animations based on storyboards produced by our instructional designers. As a Digital Learning Visual Designer, you will be responsible for collaborating on the design and development of digital learning content; creating accessible designs that support learning; building and importing written and visual content in a web-based environment; storyboarding and creating animations; and performing technical and design QA on the work of colleagues. The successful post holder will be creative, collaborative, and have strong communication skills. You must also have knowledge of one or more of the following: Adobe Creative Cloud (including Photoshop, Illustrator, Animator, Audition and Premier Pro), Adobe Captivate or other e-Learning authoring tools, and VyonD.


Role: Metrics Reporting Coordinator (broadly equivalent to EO)

Summary: The Metrics and Reporting coordinator post is an exciting opportunity to work strategically across a variety of stakeholders. While the location of work is flexible, this post will require regular linkage with all community locations. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Deputy Head of the Strategic Centre in bringing together L&D metrics and reporting in an agreed format which will be shared at senior levels to help inform decision making on future L&D and will contribute to and manage a communications plan. The successful post holder will need to show good analytical and communication skills and an ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
