The role
This is a unique opportunity to learn how we keep the country safe from harm. It’s a challenge that calls for individuals from a range of backgrounds with different skills and knowledge. On our internship, you’ll bring your own talents to our welcoming team.  Mentors, managers and buddies will be there to help you make the most of this opportunity – and maybe take the first step towards an exciting full-time career.

Over 11 weeks, you’ll help us investigate and disrupt international terrorism. You’ll learn how front-line operations are run, piece together intelligence and create a picture of possible threats. There’ll also be the chance to create strategies, explain risks to a range of audiences and work as part of a close-knit, multi-disciplinary team. By the end of the placement, you’ll understand how we protect national security.

We’re after inquisitive problem solvers with real enthusiasm, team spirit, and a love of learning; individuals who enjoy working collaboratively and want to make a positive impact.

For the duration of the internship you must be able to live in or commute to central London.

Your Future
If you complete your internship successfully, you will be invited to apply for a permanent position with us as an Intelligence Officer on our Intelligence Officer Development Programme (IODP). The competitive selection process will take place during the final stages of the Internship. We would aim for successful candidates to be able to join us permanently in Autumn 2021.
